Youโ€™ve joined a community of more than 86,000 households served by the Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District. This page gives you a simple overview of whatโ€™s included with your service and how to get started ๐Ÿ‘.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Once you receive your first bill, you can enroll in paperless billing and auto-pay through Xpress Bill Pay.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Your Basic Service Includes

Weekly curbside garbage and recycling collection at your home, plus access to a wide range of special programs throughout the year.

  • ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ One black garbage can & one blue recycling can; additional cans are available for a fee.
  • ๐ŸŒฑ Optional subscription programs like green waste and curbside glass recycling.
  • ๐Ÿ“† Seasonal programs such as leaf bag pick-up and Christmas tree collection.
๐Ÿ’ณ Billing & Payments โ€ข Bills are issued monthly.
โ€ข Pay by mail, in person, or online through Xpress Bill Pay (xpressbillpay.com).

๐Ÿ“ New Resident Checklist

Use this quick checklist to make sure your services are set up and ready to go:

  • โœ… Confirm your collection day on the Service Day or by calling the office.
  • โœ… Set up your Xpress Bill Pay account for online payments and paperless billing ๐Ÿ’ป.
  • โœ… Review what items go in each can (garbage, recycling, and green waste if subscribed) โ™ป๏ธ.
  • โœ… Add a reminder on your phone or calendar so cans are out by 7:00 a.m. โฐ.
  • โฐ Place cans out by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day.
  • ๐Ÿ“ Leave at least 3 feet of space between each can and from mailboxes, fences, or cars.
  • โฌ…๏ธ Face the can so the lid opens toward the street.
  • ๐Ÿ”’ Keep lids fully closed to prevent spills and wind-blown debris.
  • โ™ป๏ธ Only place accepted items in the recycling canโ€”no plastic bags, yard waste, or garbage.
