Seasonal Container Reservation Program (SCRP)

Reminder: Reservations cannot be made over the phone (required forms and disclosures).

Reservations open in Tiers

1 β€’ Early Bird for anyone who did not get a container last year

Early Bird is for residents who did not receive a container last year.

2 β€’ General for everyone

General is open to all residents (including those who received a container last year).

All reservations depend on container availability. A reservation is not guaranteed.

How to use your postcard

    Use the schedule below to see when postcards are mailed for your city.

  • 2Read your postcard

    Your postcard tells you your city zone and your reservation opening date.

    Tip: Keep your postcard nearby when you reserve online.

  • 3Find your zone

    Use the zone lookup map to find Zone 1, Zone 2, or Zone 3 for your address.

  • 4Reserve online during your open date

    When reservations open, complete the online reservation form.

Container delivery and placement

Delivery window (7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

Containers will be delivered during your scheduled service dates. We cannot provide an estimated delivery time.

Friday deliveries β†’ Monday pickup

If your delivery is on Friday, the pickup is usually the following Monday, unless your postcard indicates otherwise.

Placement requirements (driveway rules)

The recommended driveway space is 10 feet wide and 12 feet long.

Important guidelines (overloading, dumping, curb piles)

Do not overload the container. Do not leave items outside the container, as we will not pick up any items on the ground. Curb piles and illegal dumping may result in removal or enforcement actions.

What can and can’t go in the containers

Permitted items
  • Bulk household items (furniture, mattresses, similar items)
  • Appliances (fridges/freezers must be tagged showing freon was removed)
  • Yard waste (leaves, branches, organics)
Not permitted

β€’ Tires (of any size or quantity)

β€’ Hazardous, radioactive, toxic, or other regulated wastes, including but not limited to asbestos, solvents, paints, hydrocarbons, antifreeze, pesticides, herbicides, propane tanks, gasoline, freon, batteries, fuel/oil products of any kind, compressed gases, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), mercury or mercury containing devices, uranium mill tailings, and biohazardous or infectious laboratory/medical waste

β€’ Materials contaminated with or used in the production of methamphetamines

β€’ Ammunition, firearms, or explosives

β€’ Engines, transmissions, or other items that may pose risks to human health and the environment (e.g., catalytic converters, lead acid batteries, and lithium batteries, including electric vehicle batteries)

β€’ Barrels, drums, or containers over five (5) gallons in capacity unless they have been completely emptied, had the top removed, been cut or punctured to render them unusable, and contain no residue

β€’ Freon or freon-containing appliances

β€’ Animal carcasses and human excrement, remains, or body parts

β€’ Materials containing free liquids as defined in 40 CFR 260.10

β€’ Materials generated by commercial, contractor, or industrial activities

β€’ Materials that attract, generate, or harbor vermin or rodents, present conditions that are harmful to public health, or that create a fire hazard, safety hazard, odor, or nuisance
