Government Records Access (GRAMA)
The Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) was enacted by the Utah Legislature in 1991 and is codified under Title 63G, Chapter 2 of the Utah Code. GRAMA establishes the public’s legal right to inspect or receive copies of government records, subject to specific statutory exceptions.
GRAMA also governs how government entities create, maintain, classify, and respond to requests for records to ensure transparency while protecting privacy, security, and confidential information as required by law.

Requesting Records:
All records requests must be submitted in accordance with GRAMA. Requests may be subject to statutory response timelines, fees, and exemptions as provided by Utah law.
