Coverage overview, service details, and district resources
We take pride in delivering world-class customer service—reflected in our 94% satisfaction rating (2021). Each year, we manage the collection and hauling of approximately 148,000 tons of waste from over 86,000 homes. Our services include weekly curbside garbage, recycling, and subscription-based green waste collection, offering multiple solutions to manage and transport waste effectively.
Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District transitioned from a Local District to a Special Service District. This reorganization—supported by the Salt Lake County Council and our District Board—enhances efficiency and community oversight. Cities and townships now have greater autonomy in managing sanitation needs, with governance provided by the Board of Trustees.
