Recycling Processing Information

Material Processing Information
Single-stream recyclables WFWRD delivers collected recyclable materials to either Waste Management or Rocky Mountain Recycling material recovery facility (MRF), depending on route logistics, operational efficiencies, facility availability, and processing costs.
Sorting The receiving MRF separates the materials into individual commodities, including paper, cardboard, plastics, aluminum, steel, and other recyclable materials.
End Markets Following processing, individual commodities are marketed by the MRF to manufacturers and processors. Final destinations vary based on commodity markets, purchaser availability, and industry demand.
