Recycling Processing Information
Information about how collected recyclable materials are processed after collection.
| Material | Processing Information |
|---|---|
| Single-stream recyclables | WFWRD delivers collected recyclable materials to either Waste Management or Rocky Mountain Recycling material recovery facility (MRF), depending on route logistics, operational efficiencies, facility availability, and processing costs. |
| Sorting | The receiving MRF separates the materials into individual commodities, including paper, cardboard, plastics, aluminum, steel, and other recyclable materials. |
| End Markets | Following processing, individual commodities are marketed by the MRF to manufacturers and processors. Final destinations vary based on commodity markets, purchaser availability, and industry demand. |
