Green Can Subscription Request

The Green Waste Subscription Service runs from the second Monday in March to the second Friday in December (9 months of service; billed monthly).
Collection in Herriman is on Mondays. All other areas: collection occurs on your regular collection day.
Requests must be made by the homeowner. Renters should contact their landlord.

Renters: Please contact your landlord or property owner. Only the homeowner can authorize a Green Waste Subscription.

Subscription Terms

This Agreement is entered into between the homeowner and the Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District (WFWRD) for the provision of a green waste can. By submitting this request, the homeowner acknowledges and agrees to the terms below.

Account Status
The account must be current and in good standing to receive green waste collection services.
Fees & Billing
▪ Startup Fee: $70 (one-time) to begin service.
▪ Monthly Billing: $12 (total $144 per year).
▪ Service runs from the second Monday in March through the second Friday in December.
Use of Green Waste Can
▪ The can is for use only at the specified service address.
▪ The can remains the property of WFWRD.
▪ All green waste must fit inside the can with the lid fully or nearly closed (within 45° of fully closed).
▪ Overflowing items or those placed outside the can will not be collected.
▪ No plastic bags are allowed in the green waste can.
Placement Guidelines
Place all cans at least 3 feet away from:
▪ Vehicles
▪ Trees or shrubs
▪ Street signs or mailboxes
▪ Other cans
Damage Policy
Damage beyond normal wear and tear will result in a $70 replacement fee.
