District Governance

Board of Trustees & Chairpersons

The Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District (WFWRD) is governed by a Board of Trustees composed of elected officials from the communities we serve. The Board and Chairpersons provide policy direction, financial oversight, and strategic guidance to ensure reliable and sustainable waste and recycling services.

Board of Trustees

Community Representation

Each trustee represents a member city or township within the District’s service area. Trustees adopt policies, approve budgets, and guide both daily operations and long-term planning.

Chair & Vice Chair

Board Leadership

The Board annually appoints a Chair and Vice Chair to preside over meetings, coordinate agendas, and act as liaisons between the Board, District management, and the public.

Public Meetings

Open & Transparent

Board meetings are open to the public. Meeting notices, agendas, and minutes are published in advance in compliance with Utah open meeting laws.
