Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA)
Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District
The Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) is a Utah state law that governs public access to government records. GRAMA is codified in Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 2 and establishes the public’s right to inspect or receive copies of government records, subject to specific legal exceptions.
In addition to public access, GRAMA also governs how government entities create, classify, retain, and protect records in order to balance transparency with privacy, security, and confidentiality requirements.
