Report a Missed Collection

Use this form to report a single missed can, a partially emptied can, or a missed street. District staff review each request before return service is approved.

Collection Operations

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

To ensure collection, please place cans at the curb the night before your scheduled service day or no later than 7:00 AM. Crews are unable to return for cans that were not at the curb when the route was serviced.

Staff review truck-camera footage, GPS activity, and route information before approving return service.

Before submitting: Confirm that the service address matches the missed collection location and enter the time the cans were placed at the curb.

What type of missed collection are you reporting?

Single Can Missed — Only your can was missed.

Partially Emptied — Your can was emptied but still contains some material.

Whole Street Missed — All or part of the street was missed.

Video Review Required for Single Can Requests

WFWRD reviews truck-camera footage, GPS activity, and route information to verify that the can was available for collection. Requests are canceled when the can was not at the curb when the route was serviced. If collection is still needed, submit a fee-based Extra Go-Back Request.

Curbside Collection Tips

Following these placement guidelines helps support safe collection and faster review of missed pickup requests.

Have Cans Out by 7:00 AM

Place cans at the curb the night before your scheduled service day or no later than 7:00 AM.

Leave Enough Clearance

Place cans at least 3 feet apart and keep them clear of mailboxes, parked vehicles, and low tree limbs.

Prepare Cans Properly

Do not overload carts and do not place hot ashes or prohibited materials inside the can.

Return Cans Promptly

After collection, return cans to your property within 12 hours.

Accurate placement and timing help reduce avoidable missed collection reports and improve route efficiency.
