Refurbished Can Request / New Can Request

This request is for replacing an existing can only. It is not used to start new service. Please review the options below before submitting your request.

Choose either a new can or a refurbished can replacement request.

Fee Amount

New can replacement requests are $70. Refurbished can replacement requests are $40.

Existing Service Only

This form is only for replacing a can already assigned to the service address. It is not for starting new service.

Important: If you are a renter or tenant, please have the homeowner submit this request.

Homeowner Submission Required

This form must be submitted by the homeowner. The name on this request must match the deed or property ownership record for the home. If you are a renter or tenant, please have the homeowner or landlord submit this form.

Important

Your existing can must be retrieved before a new or refurbished can can be delivered.

If you have more than one can at your address, clearly identify the can to be replaced by:

  • Attaching a note that reads “Take this one”, or
  • Placing an X on the can using tape.

Please place the can in a visible and accessible location, preferably off the street. You may continue using the can until it is replaced. Replacement typically occurs within 1–14 business days.
