Reserve your once-a-year free container in a fair, phased system
This year, SCRP reservations open in tiers to create a more equitable experience. Reservations cannot be made over the phone due to required forms and disclosures.
Important: Your postcard includes your area’s reservation opening date and your scheduled container delivery days.
Reservations open in phases
Cancellation waitlist priority
Access for those on last year’s cancellation waitlist who didn’t receive a container.
Did not participate last year
For individuals who didn’t participate in the program at all last year (if availability remains).
Past participants (if available)
For those who received a container last year, if availability remains after earlier phases.
Reservation guidelines
Check your postcard
It contains important details like your area’s reservation opening date and scheduled container delivery days.
- Reservations are only available during the time frame listed on your postcard.
Find out when postcards will be mailed
Check the SCRP calendar or contact customer service to see when postcards will be sent for your area.
Confirm your scheduled time
Visit the SCRP calendar to see when we will be in your area and plan accordingly.
Make your reservation online
Once you receive your postcard, follow the instructions to secure your spot within the designated reservation period.

Container delivery & placement
Delivery window (7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
Friday deliveries → Monday pickup
Placement requirements (driveway rules)
- Clear and accessible
- Large enough (approximately 10' × 20')
- Off the street and public sidewalks
If the driveway is inaccessible, staff cannot deliver the container, and the reservation will be forfeited.
What can & can’t go in the containers
- Bulk household waste – furniture, mattresses, and similar large items
- Appliances – refrigerators/freezers must be tagged by a certified appliance professional, verifying freon has been removed
- Yard waste – leaves, branches, and other organic materials
- Hazardous materials – paint, oil, batteries, propane tanks, 50-gallon drums
- Commercial/contractor/industrial waste – containers are for residential use only
- Other toxic or hazardous materials
Important guidelines (overloading, dumping, curb piles)
- Do not overload containers or place waste on the ground around them.
- WFWRD employees will not collect waste left on the ground or curb.
- No commercial or construction dumping is allowed.
